Hey,

I just got a private comment from Mastodon on one of my public posts. I expected that replying to the private comment would produce a private response. However, the response was public, as can be seen in the screen capture below:

Is this expected behaviour? I found it surprising.

Well, i guess this is an edge case... In contrast to the "twitter-like" fedi projects, Hubzilla comments always inherit privacy from the toplevel post.

Ad photo permissions: this is a known issue with forum posts atm. The work around for the time being is that the author has to manually set the permissions of the photo to public after the post was sent. This will be fixed once bearer tokens will be implemented...
