I've been working on LaTeX again lately. We have a lot of #
documentation to make and I laid the first brick by starting the document. This documentation should be available as PDFs for both screen and printer, and as HTML for direct browsing.
I started with #
LyX of course, which makes it very easy to click a decent document configuration together. After that, I export it to LaTeX code and do the rest of the editing in #
vi.
Browsing through my books, I noticed that they were almost 20 years old already. A lot can happen in the world of computers in 20 years, so I checked for newer releases.
And yes, my second edition of the "LaTeX Companion" is officially old: the third edition is less than a year old. It's split in two parts though, two books.
And I also really liked the "LaTeX Web Companion", which explains how to generate HTML/XHTML from your LaTeX code.
So, I couldn't help myself, I just
had to buy 3 books... 🙄
