Werkelijk geen idee wie er allemaal optreden, het overgrote deel van de namen zegt me helemaal niets.

Ik ga dan ook niet voor de #muziek naar een festival, maar voor het festival zelf 😎

Waarom is het voor #muziekfestivals zo moeilijk om een fatsoenlijke #website te maken? Hoeveel hebben de ontwerpers van zulke sites gesnoven, gerookt of gespoten voor ze hun ontwerp maakten?

Kijk naar een site als die van Lowlands, of Best Kept Secret. Je moet toch wel zwaar onder de psychedelica zitten voor je zoiets neerzet?

Of is het bewust zo in elkaar gezet dat je vanwege het risico op epilepsie-aanvallen niet gaat proberen in die chaos iets te zoeken, en de app dan maar installeert?

Even under primitive conditions like the campsite of #BestKeptSecret, you want a decent #breakfast: Full English please. It was serial cooking, because I only had 1 burner... Tip: the eggs should go last, because after that the pan needs a thorough scrubbing.

@Ditje I love primitive camping, always have.

Our family did a lot of camping when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it. Favourite way of going on a holiday for me is to plonk a small tent on the motorbike and go.

And it seems that on BestKeptSecret I've found a couple of fellow bikers who like the idea of a tour through Scotland, so this festival may not be my only holiday this year.

Wij hebben een jaarplaats met caravan in Den Haag. Luxe camperen is beter dan niet camperen :D

@hans oh man… those camping sites :-(

i'm spoiled: when you go #camping in ukraine, one of the side effects of the lack of camping infrastructure was… solitude: more often than not, you end up setting your tent in a relatively solitary spot, definitely _not_ with tens of other tents all around you.

now, here in canada, it's (almost always) what you have on the picture: like moving with your whole apartment building, but in tents :-D

@івась тарасик Well, this wasn't a "real" campsite, it's for a festival. That means they try to squeeze as many tents as possible on a piece of land. It's not nearly as crowded as, for example, the Lowlands Festival, but the density is a lot more than on a normal, real campsite.

I travelled in Canada for 3 weeks, but I had to do that in an RV. Not a punishment, btw, I like driving big, heavy vehicles over unknown mountain roads (yes, I really do).

@Ditje No, it was this weekend. This particular photo was shot last sunday.

Today I purchased my ticket for 2024, even though I haven't got the faintest idea of who's going to play. I go to a festival mostly for the festival, not so much for the acts. Point is, there's always something nice to see, and unknown artists can be a real surprise.

Then again, I like to see some big one play every now and then. I was impressed by Rammstein, Green Day and especially Muse, when I saw those on Rock Werchter, several times.

First time I saw Muse live, I was afraid they might not be as good as they are in the studio, but it turned out they are.

They sure are, the flight and the RV were the two biggest expenses of that holiday. Funny that I could drive a 5,5 ton truck in Canada, where my license here only allows me to drive cars up to 3,5 tons.

Well, #BestKeptSecret festival is over. I've been looking forward to it for months, and in the blink of an eye it's over... It was fun, a lot of fun.

What was less fun, was the price of everything. I mean, €3,25 for a beer, €10 for a simple hamburger?? I've never bough so little food on a festival as now.

in particular on festivals or concerts i tend to calculate the prices for food and drink back to the old DM ... but it's good for health, less alcohol and nealy no fastfood ... :-)

The food on #BestKeptSecret is very good, there's hardly any "traditional" fast food. I think I've seen 2 food trucks who sold chips. There was almost everything you couid imagine: pasta, Thai, fish, vegan (lots of vegan), ribs, fruit, you name it.

When I went to this festival for the first time, some 5 years ago, I wanted to try each and every food truck there was, but 3 days isn't enough time for that. This time I only bought something when I felt really hungry.
