Can't wait for Peter Jackson to bring his interpretation of the #Silmarillion to the big screen.

Apparently it's happening in 2025, and I wonder if he can get everything into three films. There's a lot more stories in this one book than in the 3 volumes of the Lord of the Rings.

Not sure how real this teaser is, but it sure looks nice 🙂

@hans Honestly, I think the best format for the Silmarillion would be a limited television series as opposed to a film (or three). There is just too much material there.

I could see them doing a single story from the Silmarillion (Beren and Luthien, for example), but you can't possibly encapsulate the entire Silmarillion into a single film or even a trilogy of films.

@Emberleaf Hehehe, if you need 3 films for just The Hobbit, it would take 300 films for the Silmarillion 😂

A TV series could work. First season about the creation of Arda, the appearance of the Elves and the Trees, up to the Kinslaying. That's a good cliff hanger for the next season...
