#opinion | Strategically, Ukraine has already won the war. The vast majority of countries in the world are on our side. Our spirit is stronger than ever. No more divided nation. Putin's rockets and bombs have united Ukraine. They turned us into steel. Made us monolithic.

Yes. He actually achieved a plentitude of political tasks within less than a week that literally hundreds of state leaders have failed before him for decades or centuries:

a global (well, most of it) community of value across continents that actually acts together in spite of individual disadvantages for national interests.
a joined acting of the world security council to leave ad room instead of smiling and nodding when blatant lies are told,
uniform decisions in the EU that cost money and effort, within days instead of years, including to take on refugees on their own will,,
a German government to reconsider fundamental principles,
Switzerland to stand in for a position outside their country,
an uniform and considerate acting NATO, with sudden attractiveness for even more partners,
the heaviest statement of sanctions ever to be issued in a modern interdependent world, carried by most democratic (and non-other) states,
a fierce nation that has already become a world symbol of unity and dignity, including a president who already is much greater than his aggressor, but would become a martyr should the assassination attempts actually succeed (and I hope it does not).

Just to name a few achievements he has provoked so far.
