You'd think that, but there are other reasons folks still RAH-RAH this asshole. It's usually to do with how they feel that Trump represents their interests... isolate America, rid the country of illegals (non-whites), thinking Trump is a good Christian, financial advantages, and so on...

They're not all stupid... just opportunists pushing for what they believe in. That being said, I still think that the majority if his fans in America's southern states are probably quite uneducated, racist, and ignorant... Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, the Carolinas, etc.
