REALLY GOOD NEWS!!Citizen Protest Halts Chat Control; Breyer Celebrates Major Victory for Digital Privacy
Although it looked like Germany was going to vote in favour of ChatControl, it won't. Reason has won of madness, privacy in Europe won't be scrapped.
At least not yet, because people who sell the AI tools to spy on everyone won't take no for an answer: they'll try again, lobby again and lie again. And misguided, naive or plain evil politicians will like the idea (or the bribes) again.
But this is a moment of joy: we've won a very important battle! 🙌
