Something's wrong with my #Hubzilla installation. My stream doesn't seem to be updated anymore, last post I see is more than 4 hours old. And yes, new messages are still coming in. If I use my "public stream" I get them all.

Not sure what happened, I haven't changed anything till about an hour ago (upgraded PHP, restarted Apache and Redis). Plus, my database has grown too much, nobody needs a 25GB database for just 1 user. Turns out, I'm seeing stuff from 2018 in it, which should have been cleaned out a long time ago.

Well, it's #weekend so I have time to dive into it. Been a while since I gave HZ some TLC...

Did you enable AP a while ago? Might be that there are a lot of instances of Mastodon using your server as a backup for their posts.

I started this installation with AP enabled, I picked Hubzilla because it supported so many protocols.

My server being used "as a backup"? How's that?

When I post in public or to the few Mastodon instances I do allow I get a lot of attempts from other Mastodon instances that want to fetch the post but also start to post to /inbox (see your logfiles).

Mastodon is b.t.w. the only fediverse solution that does this. You will not see the posts, it is the nature of the fediverse.

I still have a ban on those Mastodon instances. Some ~ 700 of them are doing this.

The advise Mastodon gives is to simply give stupid answers, resulting in them connecting every minute for a week. Then they will blacklist you

One more thing, did you move to php_fpm8.2? If so, go back to 8.0 or 8.1 when you use the current stable. Smarty is updated in the current dev tree. Maybe @Mario Vavti can give a hint when it comes in the stable version :-)
