Seems like #WhatsApp is offering users the option to remove their messages within 2,5 days. And there's even the option coming up for group admins to remove messages.

Wow. Just wow. I wish those things were possible in #Matrix too.

Yup. I would almost say: of course it does. Can't really understand why WhatsApp doesn't/didn't.

They control the client, and the client holds the keys. So, of course they can read your messages. And we all know what promises made by Suckerberg and his henchmen mean...
