After way too long, I was finally at a (small) music festival yesterday. To enter you needed to be "3G" ("Gevaccineerd, Genezen of Getest": vaccinated, cured or tested), so chances of anyone bringing in the virus should be very small.
It was great: being out with friends, talking to strangers, listening to music, dancing, people-watching and generally having a great day. I really needed that, it feels as if my social battery has been fully recharged. One of the artists was the Stereo MC's, and they said it best with "gonna get myself connected" 😎
So, now the possible aftermath. The chance that there was nobody at all who carried the virus is nil, I think. So we'll have to see how that turns out. I'll do a self test this week, that's for sure.
It's a risk I took, and considering all the factors in the equation, I stand by it. Having stayed at home by myself would have been a lot safer, but this day of fun contributed a lot to my general feeling of well-being.
