I've been a great fan of Jean-Michel Jarre's music since I was a teenager. His 1993 concert in Brussels, "Europe in concert", was the first non-classical music concert I ever visited.

I found this video clip from his 1981 album "Magnetic Fields", or "Les Chants Magnétiques" in French. Note the subtle "typo": "chants" (songs) instead of "champs" (fields).

This series, "Synthesizer Greatest", started it all. I saw (and heard) an advertisement on TV, and just had to have that album. It was one album, yes. But then they released a second. And a third. The fifth got the subtitle "The final episode", and not long after that -you guessed it- part 6 appeared.

The series consisted of electronic music, covered by Ed Starink, and one of the artists I came to appreciate because of these albums, was Vangelis. But Jarre was the pinnacle, this is one of my favourite pieces, Équinoxe, part 4. Starink does an excellent job here, I think.
