Yet another rerun of #Braveheart on TV. I must have seen it at least 10 times and I know that it's historically grossly inaccurate.

But what an epic film it is! Such a beautiful story, great acting and lots of shots of the beautiful Scottish scenery.

I can watch it ten more times.

I spent a one week vacation in Scotland once; visited some whisky distilleries, checked out Edinburg and enjoyed the scenery. I loved it, and I want to visit it again some day, preferably by motorbike.

Liking the film of is, of course, very personal. The first time I saw it, I wasn't aware of all the historic mistakes in it. I had heard about William Wallace in history class in school, and how he was indeed hung, drawn and quartered. That may have sparked some fascination that the film later triggered.

Still, whenever I see Brendan Gleeson on TV, I see Hamish :-D
