@Martijn Vos Welcome to Capitalism. Such "poison pills" are standard corporate tactics to fight off hostile takeovers.

As much as I hate corporations in general, hostile takeovers are even worse. The reasons why such takeovers are hostile tend to be because the one doing the hostile takeover intends to do things that are really bad for everyone else.

I'm not a fan of Musk either, and I can understand how the board of Twitter doesn't want him to own the whole enterprise. Not sure if the "poison pill" is unreasonable, but Musk's ownership of the company might be bad for the stock price too. Musk, like all oligarchs, only works for Musk.

I don't care that much about Twitter, but I think these sort of shenanigans can't be good for his focus on the companies he already has. If I was a Tesla shareholder, I'd want him to focus on that.
