@wheeze_NL I've had some ideas about making something like that for a while, based on techniques like ActivityPub and Matrix, like @Sven Slootweg suggested.

I don't think I'm up for the task of actually designing and building it though...

@hans Honestly the biggest challenge of any dating platform isn't really going to be the technical side anyway, but rather the moderation side. They're hotbeds for abuse otherwise, unfortunately.

(I have tried to work out a plan for this many times before)

I thought about a kind of invite-only thing, or something with a few layers of trust.

But I admit I've thought more about the technique 😉
