One of our customers uses #
Slack (well, I assume several of them do), and they want us to communicate with them through that platform. The more I use it, the more I hate it.
They use threads, heavily. And maybe I'm looking with my eyes closed, but I can never see which threads have new messages in them. Customer gets pissed because I don't react immediately, I get pissed because I have to actively look for new messages... Cut me some slack, please!
Once this project is finally completed, I'm going to exert all the force I have to make them switch to #
Matrix. Matrix supports threads too (ok, still beta atm, but works like a breeze), and at least you get a reasonable overview of which threads have new messages.
