kittens have gained another 15 grams today, they're growing nicely.
I talked to the #
vet today. Both mother and the kittens need a renewal on their worm treatment, but that can wait for another 3 weeks. Around that time they are probably off mom's milk and eating solid food.

Melian will go into heat again, and #
castration while she's still nursing is a Bad Idea™. The vet told me she's probably only going to have mild symptoms, because she doesn't go out.
Nice, I can live with a cat in heat if she doesn't howl all day long, if it's only for about a week. After that, her plumbing can be removed without causing her kittens any trouble.
For now #
Melian is a free-for-all buffet. It takes a bit of a struggle for the little blind balls of fur, but eventually they all find a teet and have their meal:
