@hans I can't say I'm a fan either, but that was a very old tweet and MS has made changes since. Most importantly, your data supposedly never leaves your computer and MS never sees it.

@Erik van Zijst I know they understood that a lot of people were shocked when they came up with this idea, and that they backed down a bit.

But it's the whole idea. I've had to reconfigure my privacy settings in Win10 after an update, suddenly they were back at the default "tell MS everything".

I don't trust Microsoft (or any big tech corp for that matter), and certainly not to provide me with a black box on which to run all my stuff:

They can say that, but that doesn't mean I believe it. We've been lied to by Big Tech over and over again. Remember when MS solemny swore that there were no tools to look into their customers' documents in Office?
