Screenshot of my Mastodon advanced web interface with six columns with different types of content, for example: Home, Notification, hashtag for DigitalEthics and a list. The toots in each column are pixelated and not readable.

I know there are some social media power users who always want the ultimate dashboard.

I really want to do a video of setting this up. Hopefully I'll have time at some point. 😅 But some of you will feel comfortable diving right in I think:

If you are on desktop you can activate the Advanced Web Interface and start building your own setup with custom columns for hashtags and lists.

This will feel familiar to users of Tweetdeck.

@hans unfortunately, with time one notices problems with #mastodon's particular realisation of the deck. one of the most frustrating with time is this: the dynamic panel (for setting, users' profiles) is aoooool the way to the right and one has to scroll a lot horisontally. another one: that dynamic column has unlimited history whis is a blessing and a curse in one because there's no way to navigate it apart the only «back» button.

@івась тарасик I remember it wasn't a silver bullet, indeed. I haven't done too much with Mastodon, I evaluated several platforms in 2019 before I finally settled for Hubzilla.

@hans But be careful with removing columns. I heard of someone who deleted the content, instead of just the column from the interface.
