This is a very good friend of mine, who will only use stuff that "everybody uses". I'm trying to broaden his horizon a bit, but without much success. I got him to use #

OK, that was, of course, from a Zot perspective. Better Mastodon than Twitter, and Mastodon is probably more familiar for Twitter users.

That's why I try to get him to Mastodon. Better than Twitter, same look-and-feel. He could use Hubzilla on my server, he already had an account in LDAP so he can simply login and go. But Hubzilla might be a little too... euhm... "unheimisch" for him.

Hmm, I see that the German word is "unheimlich", not "unheimisch". Well, live and learn... I know heimlich from the manouvre to unblock someone's throat.

No, that's the Heimlich Manouver.
The *Unheimlich* Manouver is when you stuff someone's throat with, for example, a Bratwurst.
