It's funny that people can often share a set of ethics that is mostly similar, yet arrive at completely opposing conclusions. How could this be so? It is increasingly becoming obvious that this difference is caused by what information is available to you and how reliable you think these sources are. It is also becoming obvious that there are structures in place that control the traditional flow of information and are able to write the narrative. Most people just want to play nice but there are systemic forces at work that try and pitch people against each other on almost any subject now. This is highly suspect.

That's nothing new, look at the bitter fights between factions of the same religion. You'd say that Catholics and Protestants are both Christians, and that Sunnis and Shias are both Muslims, yet they have a long history of fighting each other.

Manipulation and channeling of information isn't new either, but it can be done significantly quicker than -say- a century ago. In medieval times you could rally the villagers one evening to lynch a witch, today you can rally the whole country to storm the Capitol
