Damn... I thought it was a cold, but decided to do a #
covid
test anyway.
Well, everybody gets his turn, it seems. Today it's my turn.

Thanks. It's not that bad, fortunately. Feels like a cold, and I think the worst part was yesterday. I feel a lot better today, but decided -just to be sure- to test, because I was going to a few friends tonight for an evening of playing Risk.
Well, no Risk for me tonight, or the birthday party of my nephew tomorrow...

, that is what I thought. Hopefully that will mean you will have an easier time of it and recover quickly and without lasting effects.
Any idea how you might have been exposed?

The Risk seems too have hit, then...
All the best, get well soon. For me, it was two days feeling a bit weak - May it be not much more than that for you (chances are good, though).
Risk - It's been a while... Great game, the only flaw in the rules is that you can actually be kicked out and have to watch for the rest of the round.

I don't think I'd be up for a game of Risk, considering it's got this big fat "Ukraine" in the middle of the board.
Maybe Axis & Allies.

Axis and Allies is great, but you need a day for that, not a few hours :-D

It depends on how familiar the players are. If everyone knows what they're doing, it can be set up and played relatively quickly ... I mean we're still talking a few hours, but still ...

I have had it (and Shogun, by the same maker) but never played Axes & Allies, there was no-one around able to explain it, and my explanations were not good enough. Shogun was one of our most often played board games, although setting it up could easily eat an hour. I gave it away, a WWII 'enthusiast' lusted after it ;-)

The rules of Axis & Allies are basically the same as Shogun, but with more types of units and some special rules for stuff like technology development.

I Know, those special rules killed it, it was to complicated to stay enjoyable (for us, or better to the people i knew then that wanted to play).

I've been asking myself that question too, but I don't know. I don't meet many people, so I assume it was either in band practice last Saturday, or the grocery shopping I did after that.
But it wasn't that bad, and I feel perfectly fine again already. It was 3 days of being a bit under the weather (headache, sore throat and a temperature), but nothing really bad. I even worked my normal hours on Thursday and Friday.

Glad to hear that you seem to be over it all, at least. That shows the vaccine benefits.
What instrument do you play?

I live alone, so I didn't infect anyone.
As far as I can see, all symptoms are gone. I feel like I always feel, so my guess is that it hasn't effected me at all.
