I've used reading glasses for some 5 years now. Nothing special, bought my first two pairs of +2 for only €2 each at the local supermarket.
They've gotten much more expensive since then, I now have to pay €7 a pop. Still not a lot, of course, and not enough not to buy a new pair, +1, because reading my computer screen has become increasingly difficult over the last year...
So now I need 2 different pairs of reading glasses... 🙄
Getting older is great in some ways, but not so much in others.
