Long post about Cities:Skylines 2 again, with photos. I've built a whole new district, with an airport. I'm almost at 100K, at which point I'm planning to write a review, Steam forum is pretty toxic.

I'm almost at 100K, the #
simulator seems to get a little slow.
But I've just built a whole new district, with an International Airport, no less. And because I needed public transportation there, I added a subway. I think I now have all forms of transportation in active use, from taxis all the way to passenger airlines.
I also had to add a large stretch of highway and railroad, so it could be that the simulator has to do a lot of recalculations. Routes need to be re-evaluated, new incoming residents take up extra resources. It may go better after a while, once the dust has settled.
In hindsight, building it all the way up in the mountains may not have been the greatest idea. Look at it, it's the only part of the city still covered in snow.
But it was good to finally learn how to do #
landscaping, first real large scale landscaping I've done. Took a bit to find out how to do stuff, but I think I've mastered it enough for what I want/need to accomplish. The area was rough mountain terrain, unfit for building something as big as an airport. By making it into a big flat, I've saved precious usable space.
Once I get to 100K, I think I'll write a review on #
Steam. So many #
toxic douches there, who feel ripped off and want everybody who's had a hand in this game fired and preferably dead. So frustrating, these people have absolutely no idea what they're talking about, yet they think they do. It's almost like Twitter.
If only everything had been done like this and that, everything would have been perfect. And now they must do X and Y, and we'll all boycott them till they're out of business. They can't write software, they can't work in teams, they're lazy, greedy, incompetent and whatnot. Sheesh, get a life. If you don't like the game, play something else.
Anyway, enough forum frustration. Busy day here at Bos en Lommer station.
Too bad the cargo train coming this way on the main track, is empty. I see that a lot lately: empty cargo trains. Not sure why, there were times when trains were usually chock full. Statistics show I transport 50% more by cargo train than by road.
Nice to see that most of those green trains, travelling between my city and one of my neighbours, are usually pretty full when they come my way, and there's hardly anyone in them when they go back. Guess people like my city better 😇
And you have to agree: that Observation Tower looks glorious 😎
