Longer video (4 mins, 15MB) that shows the progression in the #kittens' movement. Walking improves by leaps and bounds, and they're trying to run and jump every now and then. The speed with which they play goes up as well, and they're even sneaking up on each other.

All under the watchful eye of mother #Melian.

@Peter Lindelauf Indeed, I'm really looking forward to this new phase, in which they're going to start running, chasing each other and try all kinds of funny stuff.

I've got a long mirror ready that I'm going to place on the ground, so that they can see themselves in it. That's a guarantee for hilarious behaviour. And I'll be ready with the camera 😉

@Peter Lindelauf Long time ago, my grandparents visited us, and they brought their dog.

Dog started to chase our cat, and at some point had it cornered. Bad news for the dog, got its snout ripped open and never chased the cat again 😂

Mother #Melian moved the nest again, apparently the nursery box isn't what she wants anymore. Well, ok, she can have it her way. The curtain is obviously a better place than a well prepared box...

Gives the #kittens easier access to stuff they can hide under and climb into 😉

When one of my cats gave birth a few months ago, she insisted on keeping them either under a shelf in the back of my office or inside one of the supply cabinets. I tried to set up a couple of different boxes for the kittens so they couldn't escape, but I decided she instinctively wanted someplace that offered overhead cover so nothing could swoop down on them.

@Thunderstrike Sounds credible. In the early days I kept the box closed most of the time, but because of the rather high temperatures, I kept it open most of the time.

They seem to like their new spot, where they can crawl under the radiator behind a few boxes: out of sight and out of reach.

Amazing what instinct does. Mother is only 1 year old, but knows exactly how to raise these little ones 😍

The #kittens are developing nicely. They're walking steadier and quicker every day, I expect them to start climbing soon. Mother #Melian keeps an eye on them almost 24/7, must be hard being a mom.
